While in high school, the fifteen-year old Gareth was bashing out the bass doing Status Quo and Eric Clapton covers at local concerts in his home town of Cwmbran in South Wales. A year later he was bashing out 60s-80s music on the club and pub scene up and down the Welsh valleys.

Three years of this and it was time to move on to originals-based heavy rock in Newport...followed by seven years of indie-pop music in Portsmouth (ahhhhh, The South of England).

Eventually, it was clear that there was not enough time to get (1) those uni degrees he had signed up for and (2) the career in chemistry and (3) the globetrotting that followed. This led to a ten-year hiatus. He even sold his bass!

In 2009 the REAL Gareth woke up (what was he thinking!) and is back on the scene and in New Zealand. He loves the return to bashing out those classic UK sounds. He even likes to dabble in some of the jazzy-stuff (those aging fingers needed some serious exercise...).
